Protein. It's what you are.

“Sugar and spice, and everything nice…”. Is that what you’re made of? I guess we do eat a lot of cookies and snacks these days but, the answer is No.

We, meaning human beings, are mostly made of protein. Throw some water in there, along with some fat, some calcium in your bones and that’s you, and me, and the whole human race. We are made of protein.

From the toes on your feet to the hair up on your head, your body is made of protein.

Your muscles, of course, are protein. But did you think that your heart (a muscle) is also protein? Did you realize that the glue that holds the calcium in your bones is actually protein? Did you realize that your nerves are also made of protein? Your internal organs are all, yup, protein. Even the white blood cells that fight infections for you; they’re made of protein too.

So, when you’re eating a “balanced diet”. Is it really a balanced diet? Or is it light on what makes you…you? Protein.
